Chautauqua Lake Lightup 2021

I got Camp Merz dining hall reserved for Columbus day weekend (October 8-11) and I'll be making pizza on Saturday. I'd like to know how much to make, and also some help spreading the word on the social media site where I don't exist. Let me know, thanks,

Will, I’ll make every effort to be there at least Saturday and I’ll depart Sunday.
Between this event and the cabin gathering a few weeks prior I’m gonna get some strange looks from my wife. Lol
BTW I thought the pizza was from the gas station down the road. Mr Wilson enlightened me at Gettysburg.
Thank you!

I recall that fact now but I didn’t then.
I kinda remember Will mentioning gas station pizza once. Obviously I didn’t get the joke!
Hope to meet you at the light up!
Thank you!

The joke is that Crosby's (gas station convenience stores) pizza is usually better than the local pizza restaurants' fare.

I didn’t think there was bad pizza anywhere in NY.
The town I live in has probably twenty different pizzerias.
Now my son is the manager of a stand alone deli in a Quicklee gas station. They have some awesome subs. The Colon Kicker is my favorite but I’ve been eating those for twenty years at the local deli who has them in a few gas stations.
Thank you!

“As a rule of thumb, I never eat pizza north of Yonkers”, my buddy Jack N. of Arthur Ave once said, jokingly.

I hope to make it up to one of these gatherings in the future, Will and Garry, as I am not far from the retired.

Thanks for hosting this!

So who is planning on attending this weekend? I’ll be there Saturday noonish. Trying to convince a new collector friend to attend also.

I have a really early lamp that has only provisions for being hung. Is there any place suitable to hang it from a chain? If yes how much chain do I need to bring?

Also does anyone by chance have an extra Norstar mantle? If possible I’d like to buy one so we can run another extremely early lamp.

Thanks everyone see you Saturday!
Thank you!

How heavy? The dining hall has some pretty sturdy roof beams about 8 feet off the ground, so if a hook won't hold it we can wrap the chain around. And I got a couple spare NS 95s around somewhere too.

Maybe 20 pounds of 800cp lamp. Note we don’t need to run it at 80 psi. 🤪
I’m not sure what a Ns95S is but if it helps?
Thank you!

As much as I would love to spend the day there on Saturday I can't commit to much at the moment. My mom fell and broke her leg back Memorial Day weekend and spent the summer in rehab and is now back home with me as her sole caretaker. She can be left on her own for a bit but not terribly long so if I get there at all on Saturday it will be a relatively brief visit to say hi.

Actually, she loves pizza, but getting her in and out of a car is not the easiest at the moment. Thanks for the thought, though!
