Great Lakes Gathering "Million Candle Power Classic"

#1

Post by JRdaSconnie »

2022 Spring Gathering of the Great Lakes Coleman Collectors. We are planning on two full days for this event after the great turn out in 2021. Friday April 29 to Saturday April 30.

Same location at the Harrisville Sportsmens Clubhouse just off I-39 Exit 113 for Westfield, WI. There are local motels in Westfield, Montello, and other nearby towns. Camping locally as well.

Planning 9:00-4:00 both days, give-or-take with a light up and bonfire, weather pending, at the Rugotzke home just outside of Westfield.
It'll buff out.

Stovies don't need a special group.

Would like to attend and meet some people, unfortunately my job does not allow me to be gone at the end of any month.

But, fwiw, I'll honk and wave this Saturday as I drive by the 113 exit on my way to Minocqua. 8-)

Hi everyone, getting closer every day. I would appreciate RSVPs through whatever method works for you so we can plan food and other items for the weekend.

Multiple camping sites and hotels available in the area. Westfield, Montello, Oxford, and Coloma are all close by cities to look at for lodging.
It'll buff out.

Stovies don't need a special group.

Hello John,
My husband, Don and I are interested in attending the Great Lakes Coleman Collectors gathering in Westfield WI, in April, 2022. How and where do we sign up? We will be camping with a camper. Is there a registration fee?

You just signed up by posting here so all good there. No fee, last year we just did a pass the hat to help offset costs.

Lodging/camping is all independently set up. I believe a couple folks stayed at Ox Creek CG last year by Montello, WI and said it was nice.

Stay tuned here for more updates as the come up. Look forward to you both coming to check it out.
It'll buff out.

Had a great time at the “Million Candle Power Classic” Again this year. Thanks to John & Family, Steve and Everyone else to help put the event together again this year! I really enjoyed seeing everyone again and looking over everyone’s collections. Great group of people. I didn’t buy a single Lantern this year but I found some fun bits and pieces, some things I needed, some things I didn’t know I needed, a couple nice stoves and this little monster. I call little because it’s one of the smaller HGPs Coleman made. Looks like it’s going to be a fun toy. Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for posting pictures! It was a fun two days visiting with old friends and making new ones while getting the chance to view some neat Coleman and non Coleman items. Thanks to John, Sarah and Steve for all they did. Thanks to John’s mom for cooking us pizzas Saturday night!
Also thanks to all who came, you are the ones that made this weekend a success!

Thanks for your help with my frank John. Tell Sara and all who helped her the food was great. The company was good and the lanterns were awsome. I can't wait for the next one.
