Chautauqua Lake Lightup Fall 2022

#1

Post by Gavercronos »

Mark your calendars guys. I got Columbus Day weekend again this year reserved. October 7-8-9 at Camp Merz, Mayville NY. We have the Dining Hall and the small cabin as usual. If you want to camp, we got the space to do it, and five of the campsites have power, and one even has flushing toilets. I plan to make pizza on Saturday (Yes, MAKE!), and leave other meals to all your designs and desires. (In other words, post if you want to make/bring something to share for any given meal.)

There is a plan for a fundraising "wine walk" type event the previous weekend. It is currently still in the basic idea stage, so I don't know what will come of it. If it grows into a real thing, I can roll the Lightup into it (and you could potentially sell off some nice green 220s to the public...) if there's interest here in that type of thing. Again, just a possibility at this point.

If there's interest in a spring event, let me know. It's slightly harder to pull off since everyone in the local Scouts wants to use the camp in the spring, but likely weekends would be in April and May; in fact Memorial Weekend is usually the only one that won't have any scouts present.

Lastly, I don't exist on Facebook, so please spread the word there, thanks!

To me a lamp without a shade is creepy!

After awhile, you can work on points for style!

Looking forward to it, Will, thanks for putting this together.

I am up for a spring get-together if there is enough interest, I should be able to spend part of a day on-site.

Just want to put this back on people's minds, since Summer Camp is over for the season. The "wine walk" plans fell through due to a lack of interest, so we have the camp to ourselves so far. (Though troops may decide to rent sites or cabins, we have the Dining Hall.)

I’ll see you late Saturday morning
I’m finishing up my items to display.
There will be many seldom seen Coleman shades. 😁
Along with other old stuff!
Thank you!

Will,
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend this time. We’ve got way too much going on this Saturday.
Say hi to the whole gang for me.
