True North New England
Coleman Gathering
May 20th–22nd 2022

For all GPA enthusiasts!
Come for the weekend and camp or stay nearby and
enjoy friendship thru the light!

In honor of the 12th anniversary of the True North community, we are pleased to announce the 5th Annual True North New England gathering. This will be a 3 day family event. It will be a group effort but Karen and I will be hosting it at our home.

We are in Whately, Massachusetts which is in the middle of the state right off Route 91. It's very easy to get to. We have about 4 acres of very flat, mowed grass in the middle of quiet farm country. This will be a rain or shine event. If we have in-climate weather, we can move inside my building which is filled with antique engines, cars, tractors and other collections. We can easily accommodate 100+ camping folks from tenters to RV’s. We have a large fire pit that will be lit each night if wanted.

All meals will be on our own due to Covid still on people’s minds. However, Karen and I will supply pizza for everyone on Friday night. We will not be having the potluck meals this year. If you forget some food, there is a large grocery store about 10 minutes away. We have 2 refrigerators in the barn that will be available to store cold dishes as needed and there is an outdoor sink for dishwashing duties.

In addition to the porta potty we will be renting, the bathroom in the barn has a sink, toilet and hot shower for all to use.

Pets are welcome but must be leashed and picked up after.

One thing we have little of is shade so bring your own. Most folks camping won’t have shade till late in the afternoon.

This will be a 3 day event and early birds are welcome, just let me know. It's a nice area with lots of other local activities available. Included is other info like local interests and hotels nearby if you can't camp.

If you have any questions PM me. Thanks. Stephen.

If there are no border hassles I will (99%) be there....early.

I'm also planning on thinning things out, anybody want one of the 228s used on Lantern Lab? I think there were 3 different ones in the video...

Just bumping this up. Today I spent $1600. in tree trimming around the gathering camping area. It was time to make that area safer for everyone.
There’s a new BBQ place just opened up the road that is fantastic! Anyone looking for a great lunch or dinner should check it out.
More to follow with a for sale/trade board.

+1 on the for sale/trade post. I don't have much in the way of sale/trade items, but I'll certainly be bringing some greenbacks!

Almost ready to go. Have to bake some homemade cookies for the weekend, pack the cooler in the morning and we will be in the wind. Checked the oil and mowed the grass so I won’t come back to a field.

Another good gathering. Was good to see some friends again and meet some new ones. Steve and Karen do a great job putting it all together. If anyone is on the fence about attending, take the leap. You won’t regret it.

My first gathering and a fantastic time had. Karen and Steve are great hosts and everyone I met was kind and generous. Left with more than I came with, can't wait to dive into some new projects. Wish I could have stayed a second night. Already looking forward to next year!

Yes, definitely was great time! It was nice to see everyone again and make some new acquaintances, too--especially folks that were able to make it down from north of the border.

Thanks again for having us over!

Karen and I would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone that attended and helped make this years gathering a great success. The weather forecast turned favorable and everyone had a good time. Friends from Quebec and Ontario made the trip across the border and several New England states were represented also. Everyone brought great displays and many sales tables to offer up new treasures . I'm sure photos will follow, Thanks again.
