So I happened into a classic 1955 model 228E Big Hat, and found that the fuel cap gasket sealed fine, but when I opened it to refuel, it no longer seals well. Changing the gasket is no problem for me (*burn out the old), but I only have gaskets for the new style, post-1970 one-piece fuel caps.

Would anyone be willing to TRADE straight across, 2× of my new style one-piece fuel cap gaskets for 2× of your three-piece fuel cap gaskets? These should easily be mailed in a card or standard letter, and on confirmation, I'll mail mine - you mail yours, USPS, no payment, just a stamp.

Here's what I have to trade, along with a pic of the old style fuel cap - which has the dangerous hole in the side, but is technically correct for this model. THANKS!
