323 IL 1915-1920

The first torch lighting L fount lantern by Coleman. Shipping records show these started shipping as early as July 1915 and as late as May 1920 with a total of less that 29K being shipped. Many of those having been converted/upgraded to the easier lighting Q70 burner.

This lantern has a reproduction cleaning rod. Also there was some concerns by other collectors that the hex filler cap was incorrect. These lanterns were produced up to 1920, and these style filler caps were used by that time, so it could've easily left the factory with it and just as easily could've been upgraded at a later date, I chose to leave it for now 😁
