Evaporust inside fount question

when using evaporust to get rid of rust inside a fount I usually bb the fount to get rid of the gray stuff left behind.

I'm currently cleaning a fount that only has a small amount of surface rust on the bottom. and i.m thinking of just leaving it in fount

anyone leave it the gray stuff and just use the fount?
