Thermos Generator Differences

I've been cleaning up some Thermos lanterns lately. Two were mostly scrap so I salvaged some parts. And i noticed a small difference in some of the generators. The photo shows three generators. #1 is from a 8325, the others are from 8326s. The arrows in the photo show a difference in the orifice end. I also measured these and #1 is about .4 tenths of an inch.

Could #1 be an older AGM generator?
