Question about Infared lantern

Seeing the infared lantern in the classifieds got my intrest up. I know they are rare but does the globes or rather the lack of them effect the collectible statis? Are there two inner globes? I gather the filter? globe was probably radio active or something and thats why they were removed. Just curious about this unicorn. Thanks
