Bought my first military coleman. Very good condition but no maintenance. Year 1969.
The gas valve stem has a split ring on the stem. Need to pull the stem out but don't want to damage the parts.
I believe it will pull out when unscrewed if enough force is applied.
And what may be suggested to replace the asbestos packing in the gas tube going up.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
