Where are sourcing the washers the go under the frame on 200A lanterns?
Thanks,

I would just take the valve assembly to a hardware store and get brass or stainless washers that fit. I think they'd be 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch. If I remember correctly, the larger washer that goes under the generator is thinner than the washer that goes under the frame nut, and may be harder to find at the hardware store. But (and someone else should correct me if I'm wrong here), not having the washer that goes under the generator won't affect the lantern's performance.

I just put a green 200A back together that didn't have either of the washers. I had a brass washer on hand that I bored out to fit on the valve stud. I didn't put a washer under the gen, and as TwoCanoes said, I don't think it matters. Your hardware should have a brass washer that would work.

Just my .02c

I’d have a washer on the threaded stud. If I’m remembering correctly, without it the generator sets in a tad to far up into the tube. It might also keep the collar from overly pressed onto the fount.

The 1955 Coleman Parts Catalog lists both washers for the 200, 200A and 202 as:

My description...............Size......................Material .........Part No.
Washer on valve stud........17/64 x 5/8 x 3/64....Stnls.Stl.........202-437
Washer under generator.....3/8 x 5/8 x 1/4*.......Stnls.Stl.........202-436

*I think the parts catalog was wrong and this should be 1/64" thick not 1/4"

I just ordered an assortment of US and metric washers that are not exactly the same size but might work. I will update this when i get them. The hard one to find is washer under the gen. 3/8 inner diameter is easy but the outer diameter cannot be bigger than 5/8....

An added note. I measured 4 different washers under the generator from 200As and 1/4" thickness reported in the parts catalog is wrong. That would be a VERY think washer. The four I measured were all 1/64" thick. So i changed the post above.

I found some replacements from Master-Carr for both washers used on the 200A. Note that I only looked for stainless or brass. There was a brass option for the stud washer but it was twice the price of the stainless.

For the frame stud the best fit is a black oxide stainless steel. There is also a non-oxide stainless, but it has a slightly larger inner diameter. It works but is a bit loose.

90618A131 Black oxide 18-8 stainless steel $11.64 for a pack of 100
92141A029 18-8 stainless steel $3.47 for pack of 100

For the generator there was only one choice i could find. These were more expensive.
97022A448 316 Stainless steel ring shim $6.36 for a pack of 10

I know have a 100 of the stud washers - so if anyone needs a couple send me a PM and I will send you a couple. Just let me know if you want the regular stainless or black oxide SS.
