Knob doesn't effect light output..

Knob doesn't effect light output..
What would cause a 220 knob not to control the light output? The knob shuts it on and off but nothing else, Thanks.

They aren’t adjustable lanterns. They’re supposed to run wide open. You can play with the pricker lever to dim it but I don’t ever do that. A little bit. All models after the 220/200a were discontinued are adjustable.

If you want it dimmer, use lower pressure. However, don't open the fuel cap to bleed off excess pressure while running. An unintended and unwanted fireball could result. I suggest starting with very low pressure, then adding a pump or two until you have the desired light output.

For practical use, you adjust the output using the cleaning lever. I learned that way back watching my dad. The new "adjustable" lanterns actually do the same thing to adjust output.
