Looking for Akron 134G parts
Hi I'm restoring a Montgomery Ward Akron 134-G and looking for info on finding parts for it. The valve assembly block is what I'm looking for mine is busted and picker wire will not come out. I'm new to the group I'll figure out how it works here on the boards.here is a photo of as far as i have gotten with the restore.

What parts are you looking for? Buying a whole basket case lantern may be the easiest way to get some of the parts.

Re: Looking for Akron 134G parts
If any of the Akron experts can tell me if the valve assembly from a 133 will fit a 134G I might be able to help. If the valve will fit a 134G and if any of the other parts of his valve will transfer to the 133 valve, I should be able to help him.
My 133 had the same Instaglow generator. The lever that controls the pricker assembly looks different on the 134G but if the diameter and threads match then I’m assuming he could gently remove that assembly and install it into the 133 valve.

I've got a small pile of Akron parts... but you would need to know what you need, cause I really don't know what I got

Re: Looking for Akron 134G parts
There are at least two versions of the instant-glo set up.
One has a knob for a pricker the other a lever.
I am pretty sure the knob version is earlier and from my burned hand more troublesome. I believe the knob pricker version lacks a valve stop so be careful once you get it running. What happened to me was opening the valve to far and pressurized fuel coating and igniting my hand.
The knob version is just more troublesome than the lever since I have had both style prickers leak. Passed a leak check one night and later the same week I have had both styles bite me.
Post some pictures so we know what you are looking for.
