Has anyone tried fargo mantles? Made in india.

I've seen those but didn't want to buy 100 to see if they're any good.

Where are you guys seeing these mantles? The tins, or bulk packaging? I'm only seeing tins.

Even bad mantles can be good for test purposes, provided they're cheap enough.

They are on ebay. Have to buy 100 at a time for $75 or so. I can't find lesser amounts to try. I have found old posts on kero forums that like them, just nothing recent.

Do you know if these are thorium or yttrium? I have a rad meter and would love to have one or two to test.

Apparently they have been around awhile. They used to come in a metal tin.
