The knob should turn counterclockwise 180 degrees. - check to see if the handle is on correctly.

Here is a video which shows the direction and degrees.

John,

This probably won't help, but just in case something was made wrong...

The first pic shows the post over the valve used for the stops. The second pic is of the back side of the knob, which has the stops for full on and full off when they make contact with that vertical post on the stove.

RE; Cajuncook1 Got your messages. They are very very much appreciated. Much gratitude to all who helped the photos did help. Double checked the knob is on correctly. Stove still hangs and stops at 90 degree light position. Will try to come up with photos in next few days again appreciate the help. 425E aka john

sometimes the excentric block gets bent or dirty with groves in em causing em to hang up . i file each side n nice n flat and deburr all the corners making sure i get a smooth movement before reassembly

here is yet another scenario , the excentric or generator gets stuck with carbon/debri and someone forces it anyways trying to clear it and it bends the end of the tip cleaner wire , the part that moves the excentric .... its takes some doing to see that like a good part next to it , i have been able to save a few by carefully bending the wire back into position , its not much of a bend to correct it , some trial and error till it gets better at rotating ... its always a case by case fix , im just giving you a couple areas to look at .

sounds like a likely senario. I had one that would not move at all because it was twisted and jamned…
