Cleaning generator tip

What is the best way to clean a kerosine generaor tip? Misc solvents seem to work, but it seems to take a while. Any specific solvent work best? What else works?

I figured a citric acid solution was the gold standard for this stuff. Takes a minute I suppose but not super aggressive and it gets the job done

Fire. I heat them dull red and quench them in water until all the gunk is burned off.

if the lantern has one, then turning the cleaning lever usually will keep the generator orifice clean. If the cleaaning lever does not clear the orifice, then other issues may be in ply. If the generator has been removed from the lantern and disassembled, then a .005" bristle from the below wire brush and a couple of drops of carb cleaner probably can get most obstructions out.

I take the tip off and put it in a ultrasonic cleaner for 4-5 min using a bath of 25% vinegar. Does a great job.

Oven cleaner is my go to. Soak it until the cleaner has dried then flush with hot water over a strainer and prick it a few times.

Water and a little Dawn does a great job in my jewelry size ultrasonic cleaner.

Honestly, the best way to clean a gas tip is with the tip cleaner specific to the generator. If the generator has no tip cleaner associated with it, then use a fine wire like a guitar string, depending on the size of the gas tip. I think you can find gas tip sizes in the list below:

Is there a problem with your tip cleaner for this lantern?

I've found that soaking in vinegar followed by fine steel wool works, as well as the cleaning needle inside the generator. It depends on what needs to be cleaned off.

Judamonster (King David?);
I'm still wondering about this. Are you still trying to clean that fuel tip? If so, are you trying to clean the inside where the fuel is supposed to flow? (Then you need a pricker).

The other situation, does the fuel tip work right already?

Are you trying to just make the fuel tip look shiny?

Please don't just say yes, or I will have to disrupt your place in humanity. Could you answer our questions, please?

Thank you. Very much. Indeed. With a cherry on top...

“disrupt your place in humanity”

That must be a northern Idaho term.
