pretty new at this need parts

#1

Post by Plain Ole Chuck + »

Hello.. I'm working on my son's lantern and made a rookie mistake. I buggered up the threads on the i think it's called air mixture valve? The one that holds the clean-out rod on a 220F lantern. I have never seen this valve body listed anywhere except with the entire burner assembly. I'm not sure what it's called or what to ask for either. Any ideas on where I might obtain one or should I just look for a parts lantern? Hoping someone can shed some light on the subject.

I'm sure I've got a 220F valve you could have. Let me dig it up at the shop tomorrow (thur) morn and I will post a picture and see if it is what you need.

PS we have all made rookie mistakes. And many other kinds of mistakes.

Not sure what Coleman called it, but I call that part the eccentric housing or eccentric assembly.

It seems like you're already covered, but if the others don't come through hit me up.

Don't feel bad if you "buggered it up," while clamping in a vise. Common event most everyone here learned once the hard way. Fortunately, you have a very common one to replace and lots of offers!
