Another what is it lamp

Part of a lot purchase. Running out of key words to search on. Any help would be appreciated. The logo is. L&N and the base is lead filled.

earlier i started to write a reply saying i didnt think it looked old or real and to look at the wheel for any makers name , but im often wrong :-) and thought i had better not send it LOL i dont quite understand all the heat guards ?

To add to this, don't light it with that wick! I forget which site, but think it was likely lanternnet.com that advises against using a wick that has a gap as the flame can travel down the wick into the fount.

Good to know the wick size, and love the gumball idea. Sadly no grand kids yet to tease those with yet. Maybe the spikes are to keep you from trying to light it. I like the look and bet it would look nice polished up. I was hoping that was why whoever I was bidding against kept trying to raise the bar. I got an Aladdin PL-1 out of it with a globe and missing a bail. I'm happy with the good globe.
