No visible date, appears to be unfired, ceramic burner cap, nickel plated generator, large rising sun (etc.) stamp on back of fount, made in U.S.A... tin coated fount base, I figure it's a '55?
Stan, Nice 54 you have there. Great logo and nickel gen. Apples, Best case will be a 5-55
8 - 57 and 10 - 63 both are side date stamped only . both are B stamped on the bottom plate
Coleman 202 Professional Lantern with Factory ERROR – Collector Condition
I have a Coleman 202 Lantern that is in very good condition.
The ventilator only has minor marks with one small chip – SEE PHOTO
The tank has the “Sunshine of the Night Logo” with a “4-58” Date & the bottom a “1-58” Date.
That is a Very RARE factory misprint.Saw that. Rare? I have one and recorded several more. I didn't want to burst his bubble. I'm just surprised he didn't call it antique.
Bump. If you missed it and did not post before. Thanks
Mine also has the heavy coating so date must be covered up , does have ceramic burner .
Not sure if you're still collection information on the 202s but I just got one. It is my first junker find. Still rebuilding her.
It is dated on the side of the fount 1 60
Only thing on the bottom is the “B”
burner cage is non magnetic on the bottom and the two supports but the top is steel.
Bail is steel.
But I have a question. Other web pages list the 202 made 1954-1964. I did not see any one listing a 1964 202 here. Anyone have an official production dates list for the 202? Will my hope for finding a 5-1964 be broken before my eyes?
EDIT
In the forum thread all I see is 2x10-62 and 2x10-63 Wonder if the coleman only ran a 202 assembly line on certain month.
