eBay Silkies

#1

Post by adkbill »

There are still some good deals out there on the 'Bay. This was listed as "at least 30 mantles".

Turns out it was 44 2-packs, so naturally I will add another 6 packs to make it a full 50 packs - just like the box says.

Sweet deal Bill, those Silkies laid out like that is a nice sight. Having a full box should last for many a light up.

Hell I was excited today because I got one pack of silkies I had to buy with a 228 I didn't need because they wouldn't sell them separately. Awesome score for sure!

Self suckage isn’t allowed but you do suck assuming you didn’t pay $6 a mantle.
Nice score!
Thank you!

Like Kevin said, this is not permitted, Bill. I was going to issue you the special certificate I occasionally present, but not now.
Nice score, buddy... :)

You say good deals, I can imagine if that cost less than $20,000.00 it was a good deal. THey don't make them any more. I have gotten away from just having stuff to have it. I am selling a lot of cast iron this morning, all of my lanterns except the ones I really want are gone. I have a few excess tools yet. I have sold about $2000 worth of stuff in the last couple months and still have too much stuff. I simply cannot imagine having a box with 50 two packs of mantles setting on a shelf doing absolutely nothing.

Good morning Moses.
You always speak from your heart, but I'll bet there are a lot of things you cannot imagine :).
Good luck on your downsizing.

Dang and I’m hoarding my few packs of silkies for some as of now unknown lantern. Embarrassment of riches I’d say!
