Nice looking camp! Hard to beat a QuickLite lantern, one of my favorites. I bet that fire ring throws some heat. 🔥

That fire ring definitely throws a lot of heat, but the downside is that it will burn a lot of wood.

That’s a sweet stove. I just picked one up a few weeks ago for $5. I haven’t tried it out yet

It's great that you can still find them in great shape for little $$. I got mine along with a lantern for $20. Didn't bother cleaning it up. Used it as is and works like a champ. Your Quicklite looks awesome!

Thanks . I hope the hunt continues for years yet to come. I enjoy the hunt and the fettle. The end result always makes one proud of the accomplishment and the fact I saved another from the scrap yard

Good looking campsite. All of your GPAs are looking good, and the old workhorse is still up to the task of providing the light.
Thanks,
Dan

I wish the new ones were the workhorses that the old one were

Looks great. Nothing better than seeing an old lantern doing what it's supposed to do. Good looking campsite too!

Thanks guys. The campsite is a family one. We put in an old “ little house in the prairie” well pump and use it to feed the outhouse water so it in fact has a flushing toilet. Septic system and all. After all, I’m not a savage

Pack your things and come on over! There’s several acres to set up on, or you can set up right next to us and enjoy the campground we made right in the Appalachian mountains.

🤔 Hmmmmm, now we have another place to stop to rest as we eventually travel around the country once we retire! 😁 Beautiful place you have there.

Maybe we can get a whole bunch more of us, and have an unofficial gathering/swap meet

I’m about 35 minutes east of Indiana, so 2 1/2 hours perhaps, give or take

I haven't been out that way for a few years. Nice scenery for sure. If I should get out that way any time soon, I will let you know. My friends just look at me like I am crazy when I start talking about lanterns. You should be in a good area to find some oldies in the wild.
