Not much to see, but for a couple of bucks I couldn't walk away.

Wow. She’s an oldie!
My friends don’t call me “Lantern/lampie Levi” for nothin’,if they did call me that.
Looking for bday lanterns 8/38, 8/41,
10/25, and 8/07
The biggest lie I tell myself is ”I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it.”

It sure looks like an early black band to me. It has the 20 hole burner frame which was discontinued mid 1952. It also has the small holes in the vent. Nice score.

Actually it is a 1952 200A. I can't read the month yet. I only have one other little red one so far. Glad to have an early one.

OK, If I want to restore my "Christmas" lantern back to it's red & green (with a black band) colors, what's best to use on the band, after prep? Black epoxy or appliance paint? Thanks

A new mantle and some fuel it'll probably fire right up....
Congrats on the price. You'll be alright if it fires or not after fett-lin with it.
