Well its a white gas stove that relies priming to get the stove itself going, if I remember correctly there is some wick in there leading into the fount. They still make em too, by optimus (made in china/taiwan) not sweden anymore.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
i have 4. you should get it.
Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I have six of them, so I guess you could call me a fan.
They're adorable little stoves, yet very functional. The Sigg Tourist set makes these even more awesome, but can be very pricey.
From here, that one looks like the 123R, which has a built-in pricker rod. I use the Coleman one-piece fuel cap gaskets to replace the cap gaskets on these. To confirm operation of the pip in the SRV, I straighten a paper clip, push up on the pip and if it returns and seals, I'm good with it. My understanding is that it can be pretty critical replacing that pip, so I prefer not to mess with it, and haven't had a need yet.
These run on naphtha (Coleman or Crown fuel). They have no pump, and self pressurize from the heat of the burner running. They do need to be preheated and alcohol is the best/cleanest. You fill the trough at the bottom of the valve/top of the tank, and light. Yes, you set the fuel tank on fire. Be careful if you get it. You may then run into more that will play on your sympathies and make you want to adopt them also.
The 123's were earlier, the 123R has the built-in pricker, and the 123UR came with the Sigg Tourist sets. The 123UR was a designation for the bare stove that came with a Sigg Tourist set. It did not include that wind screen with pot holder since the Tourist set had its own as part of its cook system.
That one looks complete and in good shape. It's missing the cup and cup handle that goes over the wind screen, but I have a hard time imagining anyone finding it practical. I know I wouldn't bother.
If you're comfortable with the price and want to try something different, you may very well like the Svea 123.
Edit: Someone posted in your duplicate post about the wick. You do NOT want to run these stoves out of fuel. The wick delivers fuel to the top of the burner for vaporizing. If you run it out of fuel, you risk it getting hot enough to char the wick. It's not hard to make or buy a new one, but I don't recommend it if you don't need to do it.

Looks complete except for the pot and handle. They polish up like bright gold and are great stoves. Pressure initially comes from the heat of your hands. Everybody should have at least one.

I don't have a 123R, but I really like the 123s. Simple, dependable, fun to use.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
Can be pressurized with a bit of denatured alcohol in the depression in the top, looks like a 123R which has the built in pricker when you rotate the valve fully ccw. The cup is sorta too small to do much with if it had it, great sound, run very well, around an hour at full blast. They do use a cotton wick to feed the burner, easily replaced if needed. This one looks like it has a nice patina. If in the $20 to $40 range go for it, even a bit higher but missing the cup and lifter.

I'd get it. Those little stoves are pretty awesome. I've got a Primus 96 (Which is Kerosene) and it's a real (lol) blast to run.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I love mine, but then I'm a stovie so people often question my judgement. If the price is right, go for it. They are loud little stoves that work well, and brass is pretty. They require a preheat, but no pumping. If it is the 123, not the 123R, make sure you get the little tip cleaning tool.

If the price is right grab it. My 123r with a Sigg tourist set is one of my favorite go to stoves to take to work with me when I feel like a hot meal.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
Yes indeed, you want a Svea 123R. As mentioned above, the absence of the cup and handle isn't a big deal, and a Sigg or Optimus cookset makes that a very practical stove.

Get this cup and you are done. The small cup they came from factory is almost useless for me so I went and bought 2 ozark cups from Walmart and slide perfectly on top of burner windshield

Yeah, get it.
Nobody mentioned this: when you have it running, don’t leave the key on the valve even though it seems like you should. The heat transfers to it and it gets hot.

I have 3 and a clone. I like 'em...
My smaller weekend/overnight "Camp box" has 2 of em, a 242, frank, and my 1.2 gallon "fuel station" on one side (with spares and other stuff) and a pantry on the other. - that side has double doors and make great windscreen... Works great feeding 1 or 2...

You’ll never go wrong with a Svea. Good little units that kinda breed and multiply if ya leave em alone long enough in your shop.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
Neat little stoves. If I was back packing one would be in my pack. If you don't have one and the price is right I'd get it.
Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I have one which was bought over 30 years ago. Still in perfect working order and I take it out when on full pack overnight trips.
See no need to get another stove when this one works so well. Use a firelighting gel for preheating which works well.
A year ago replaced the filler cap seal as a precaution even though it was still ok.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I'd buy it if its available near me. Although Sievert is still in business, I don't think they still make those SVEA stoves.
Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I have wanted an SVEA for a while. I don't see them that often down south though, and when I do they have a highly inflated value. If the price is right I would pick one up. I want to add one and a Hiker stove to my collection for use.
Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I know Sievert developed the 123, but don't think he/they have been involved with the 123 since maybe the 60's. If you have one marked Sievert, that's a really desirable one. Optimus owns the Svea 123 and was most recently making them in Taiwan. I do think you're right that they are no longer made. Just look at the ridiculously high prices now that they're no longer readily available.
Papa,
If you haven't got it or are not going to get it, I think you should post the link so someone here can jump on it.

Re: anybody got one, do I want one?
I made up my mind to buy it but apparently I can't. I have tried to contact the seller twice thru Craigslist (no phone or text number is given) and get no response. The ad is still up. Oh well, guess it wasn't meant to be. After another day or two if they respond I will say " No thank you."

I'd say also get it if you can. You can get your own "Svea key burn tatoo) from it like many of us have. Btw one of my son's old girlfriends is Swedish and it's pronounced svay YA. Accent on the YA.

Who knows, maybe the guy is out of town. I know of folks that don't even go into email every day, but one would think that if that's the only way to make contact, they would at least check. Bottom line, don't pass it up just because you're frustrated with the seller.
