How many miles you alls cars have?
I just hit 240k on the wife’s Odyssey. This is officially the highest mileage I’ve achieved on a vehicle lol. I’m installing a new Ac condenser this week on her. The power steering line and valve cover is leaking a little, the CV joints click and I believe an engine mount or two are kinda bad, (2nd pair) and could use some new bearings. Other than that It drives and runs great. Wouldn’t trust it to go out of state but around town perfectly fine. My other ride is a Hyundai Accent with 148k. Tiny 1.6 with tiny parts.

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
305 thousand. 199 Ford F150. My brother drove it off the dealer lot in 99. Gave it to me 6 years ago with 221 thousand. He loved that truck more than he likes most people. I tell people as far as hand me downs go mine have gotten a LOT better, I get trucks now. Lol. The only engine work it's has is the pesky Ford intake coolant oring replacement. Original transmission. 3/4 of the miles it has on it has been spent pulling a trailer. It still runs great but the rear main is starting to leak. It's getting rebuilt after vacation

1964 Ford F350, true mileage unknown seeing as it has bits of several trucks in it. Also reads only about 3/4 actual speed and I bet that translates to the odo too. Current reading: 91k.
1977 Jeep DJ5, true mileage unknown. Knowing the post office though it likely had north of 500k when they retired it. I put about 80k on before the engine developed a rod knock.
Gotta love DDing vehicles that predate my existence by decades...

My '97 Astrovan just couldn't do another mile at 272000, poor old thing was on the road basically 6 days a week for roughly 10 years. The new to me Camaro I got last summer had 18000, only 21000 now.

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
These are some pretty impressive numbers! I get itchy though when a vehicle approaches 100,000 miles.
My 2015 F-150 has about 58,000 on it and my wife's 2011 Sonata has around 100,000. The Sonata will be headed out later this year, my truck will be around for another five or six.
Some of my past rides: My first vehicle was a hand-me-down F-150 that Dad bought new in '84 which had 160k on it when I traded it in back in '98; a '97 F-350 95k; an '86 diesel Jetta 235,000 and about 15k were mine; an '06 F-350 had 110k about 96k were mine.
One of the vehicles I miss the most was the Volkswagen. It could barely get out of it's own way, but at 45+ MPG it sipped fuel. Ironically, it also had the most mileage of anything I ever owned!

I used that wagon like I do trucks. iirc, the dasher had just over 425k when I downsized to the rabbit.

2004 Toyota Sequoia (The Frame is much newer..) 225,429 As of today. Dailey driver/ trailer hauler. 47.8 daily miles plus a little extra when I don't go straight home... roughly 191.2 per week (with no overtime..) 764.8 per month (again no overtime), counting work only with no overtime 9,177.6 miles per year. Add in overtime, weekend driving, and vacation and it's probably closer to 10,500 or 11K a year. May be getting close to another timing belt...

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
Since Covid? barely 5K and that includes 13-1400 for hunting and 600 to get my daughters last load from collage.Ridge Runner wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:19 am Ok, somewhat relates to Logan’s original question, but not totally...
What’s your average mileage per year you rack up?
Wife and I are each around 10k/year.
Pre Covid? probably 16K total.

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
My first car was a 77 rabbit. Bought it from a gas station for $500 and sold it a bit later for $3500. All it took was a crashed '84 and replacing just about everything. Good memories that's for sure. I wouldn't want another one these days but it was fun at the time.

My dad drove a rabbit (late 70's, early 80's..) it was not diesel. I think it was yellow with a brown stripe, it was missing most of the interior door panels and was very cold to ride in in the winter...

My 2003 Ford Crown Vic with Interceptor package has 217,000 miles on it. I hope to drive it 300,000 miles.

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
My 2015 Jetta TDI only has 80,000ish, it replaced a 1998 Jetta TDI that just about got to 300,000 but was so rusty the floors were Fred Flintstone style. Angie's 2005 Golf has just over 200,000, not sure exactly how much.
Our 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 has 158,000 and is still going strong although the tin worm has attacked it seriously in the last year. I guess with truck prices the way they are it's going to stay with us another year. I'll be doing some rust repair (really just a delaying action) this summer.
Edit: The highest mileage car I ever had was a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190D that I took to 310,000 miles. That was a fun car until the rear end started howling.

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
Before I retired, I would average 50-60K miles a year.Ridge Runner wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:19 am Ok, somewhat relates to Logan’s original question, but not totally...

Wife and I are each around 10k/year.
30K+ on my work truck,
15K on my personal truck and car
10K on my motorcycles
Now that I have retired, I am down to 15-20 K a year on the truck and motorcycles.

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
As of Dec 31 2020:
Our vehicles:
2004 Toyota Sienna LE 451,126 km = 280,316 miles [nearly retired, this is the only vehicle I've ever purchased new upon the birth of the third of our four kids)
2005 Chev Silverado LS 371,822 km = 231,039 miles (crew cab 4x4 used to get us out our rural driveway in winter and short trip work/cargo hauler the rest of the time)
2008 Toyota RAV4 V6 Ltd 215,904 km = 134,157 miles (my daily driver)
2008 Toyota Highlander Ltd 159,789 km = 99,288 miles (my wife's daily driver)
Vehicles purchased for our 3 adult sons (which they helped purchase):
2006 Nissan X-Trail SE 375,229 km = 233,156 miles
2002 Honda CRV LX 372,823 km = 231,668 miles
2005 Nissan X-Trail SE 227,406 km = 141,304 miles
I do all our routine maintenance and as many major repairs as I'm able without a proper hoist. Like the GPA's it's a bit of a pride thing to keep them running.
There's sure been a lot less mileage put on the above rides in the past year than on any other given year!
Cheers!

Re: How many miles you alls cars have?
2014 ford focus just turned 130k. Still looks and runs like new. 2008 jeep liberty turned 200k in January. Just put a new radiator in it yesterday. It rattles, clunks and uses oil like crazy but the thing just won't die. 100k miles on a car ain't what it used to be. Seems like newer cars are just getting broken in at that point.

2009 Sonata daily driver (I work 70 miles from home and have an hour and a half commute each way) 245,030 (just checked!). 2004 Chevy Silverado extended cab 4.3 210,000 miles. Wife's 2015 Ford Escape, 78,000.
