A couple of minutes into this video about the British lighthouse service you see a new lightkeeper in training burning off a huge mantle for the light in the lighthouse. Does anyone know what kind of light system they used? I'm off to Google but thought someone here might know.
I guess a lighthouse might be the ultimate gpa.

Welsbach mantles were used on USCG buoys. and acetylene fuel.

Check out the Elbow Reef Lighthouse in the Bahamas. I’ll post pictures later, it’s pretty darn cool.

I was lucky enough to visit and take these pictures 7 months before hurricane Dorian struck. The lighthouse is located almost exactly where Dorian made first landfall. It survived, but not without damage. It's the last totally manual, non-electric lighthouse.
