Wow Toby. That sure does look pretty on that Q lamp!

Toby, this looks fabulous!

I just want to throw this out there based on my inability to identify an early 307 shade.
I’m more asking out loud for us to look at the neck of this shade closely.
Consider the OD of the bottom “ring” of the neck. Compare that to the OD of the mid “ring”!
Please discuss!

"The Student Shade" = green cased shade/white interior, also called "the banker's shade"

It is made to reflect the light down to a working surface.

Similar to the white lined vent on the 228 lanterns.

That is a beauty!

Just the opposite in this case Outlaw. Coleman did have a green 307 but this is not one of them. I gambled that it was based on poor photos and altho I was wrong, I still came out a winner in my opinion. 100 year old glass is hard to come by 😁 the one I have pictured above it's a young one at only 70-80 years old 😉

That's an awesome combo! Perfect for that lamp.

I had a green 307, wish I still had it. I do still have a white one. The very first lamp and shade I found when I was in my early 20's and I've managed to hang onto it. A Ql with a 307 shade. I'll snap a couple pics if you want.

My 307 isn't on the lamp I found it with at the moment. I call that lamp " old faithful ". It's currently holding a 318 at the moment because my gf asked nicely. I have more shades than I have lamps to hold them up so some are in boxes. She's got them placed here and there.

Your welcome Kevin, as another point of interest,
the green no. 307 does not show up in the Coleman dated price list after November 1919.

I’ve been considering buying a “pot of glass”, I’m thinking the manufacture won’t case glass anymore but if they will why not buy two pots?

That's a beautiful shade Toby. I think it's an Aladdin N301 or 304. That'd look great on lots of lamps, but it looks quite at home on the Q.

From W T Kirkman. This one is a 10 inch shade. Not authentic, but if you need a shade they are $89.99 I think. I don't have any lamps at all, so I'm jealous when I see someone has one. Very nice
