Thought it was time to get my 72 Yamaha going. It's only been took apart 10 years,,,lol.

I watched it! Good vid, great year for bikes. Always wanted a 650 Yamaha. You have a fine engine stand; wish I had one like that years back. Glad you were able to single handle it! Let’s see the rest of the machine. (Old Brit bike guy.)

That looks a little more practical than tearing down and rebuilding motorcycle engines on the dining room table. Probably better for relationships, too!

My "engine stand" for Honda 90 engines was a 2X4 drilled for the peg plate holes, and clamped in my bench vise - Worked Great!

It's went through some different phases of restoration. I took it apart and sand blasted the frame. Verrry slowly putting it back together. Finally got the wheels done last week and just put them on tonight.

I can't believe it's out of the spare room,,,lol. Finally outside again. Might have to sell my Goldbond to finish it,,,lol.

I had more pics of it's life span but photobucket seems to have the tied up.

A good looking bike, even without the engine! Clean design and function; it says motorcycle pure and simple. Keep us informed as you finish it up.
