Found my first blackband 6/52

#1

Post by 10gage »

Had a feeling this morning that I would find something today, so decided I would hit the local antique place where I’ve found most of my oddball lanterns. The booth I grabbed this from had a run of the mill 200a with a replacement globe that had been purchased a couple of weeks ago and figured the owner might put something out similar to replace it.I was right. This one has had some rug in it, hence the missing paint and decal damage. But it has the original sunrise globe. I’ve got to get some bike parts of the bench before I fettle it. Need to get my airolite lamp I got in Virginia last week going as well.

Looking good James! Does it by chance have the cheese grater frame? I've been trying to figure out when Coleman US went away from it.

That is a great find! It looks like it will clean up pretty good.

I think you're looking for "elude". "Allude" is a real word but means something else.

Tell me about it the pump tube is still blocked up and I can’t get it unclogged.

I struggled with my 200 that was plugged, but got it unclogged. The next guy cleared his with either the tool from OCP or a socket and extension that fit snug in the pump tube. I’m sure you’ll get cleared!

I used a wood dowel with water in the tube but I’m soaking with acetone for now
