QuickLite British Patent

#1

Post by fishinjimmy919 »

While breaking down the 427 I found the British Patent stamp on the air tube. There is a US Patent Pending stamped near it. Kind of neat so thought I would share.

Also, the date stamp on the QL is 7/5... I assume that is May 1927?

Thanks for looking.

The British version patent acquired in February 1922 is the same as the US May 13, 1919. It was not immediately stamped on US Quick-Lite air tubes lamps and lanterns until late 1923 by the 1924 model year onwards it is common.

Thanks for the info gentlemen. I was just reading up on whether to hit that mica cage with Evaporust or not. Will have plenty of before/after photos.
