Fleamart Parts Safe

#1

Post by FishNChips »

Was walking through our little fleamart this morning and saw this. A 1970 228F with a parts safe and aluminum funnel. The lantern has the red stenciled globe and a little brass sparker on it. I did not care too much about the lantern (although its in great shape) but I really wanted the parts safe and it was very cheap for the package deal.

I got back to the car and popped the safe open. The gasket is intact and it was full of goodies! Mantels, flints, wrench and some matches. Also a NOS generator. Nice little purchase.

Cool!

A parts safe full of mantles, tools, parts, collectable matchbooks and a funnel, plus a free 228!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

LOL, I text a picture to MartyJ and he said the same thing! My $20 purchase turned into way more of a return in parts. He said using his wife’s reasoning I could now use the money I “made” in the purchase to buy more stuff! Sound reasoning 🤔

A good flea find is a happy thing for me. Of course my other half usually responds with a not so glad remark...

Isn’t it fun when a purchase goes from “meh, ok” to “Yippee” just like that 😎
