Crazy 236 on kijiji in red deer

I like the blue valve wheel. Maybe that brings the price up😳. Or maybe that globe? Maybe 236s are hard to get in red deer?

Looks 3d printed...maybe the guy wants to pay for the machine upgrades.
The Squirrels are up to something....

If you need a Sun Flame Generator Model 100-107 ( for Sunflame lanterns models 105, 106, 107 and 110) give me a PM, I have close to 80 of those, 15 bucks each.

Considering how many 236s I've found hereabouts--zero--maybe that's not a bad price. Not that I'd pay it....
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

The vent looks strange. Maybe it was painted

Imagine if that was a 275. That is fair comparison. I can not find 275s here but i turned down 2 x236s for under 50$ Earlier in the year.

Btw i am not sure i want a 275 after i read your restore post😳

Hey, Paul, I have most of a fairly nice 275 I'll make you a heck of a deal on. Just needs a valve.

The knob looks 3D printed to me also. I’ve seen several files around to enable 3D printing of reproduction knobs. I’ve printed a few myself in different colors for the custom lanterns I keep telling myself I’ll one day find the time to build.

I’ve also been considering designing a few knob variations of my own for custom builds.

Looks like someone had a bit of a custom going on here, as the vent looks like it may be painted also, hopefully in VHT or something that will hold up to the heat.

Hi Kevin
Regarding the comparison i was thinking about availability only😅. Can’t find 275s here but 236s are fairly common.

Hi aaron
I think 3d printing is a great idea. My point was at that price i would expect all original with the proper globe (and unfired).

Gotcha. I agree completely, I just got lost in thought for a minute there thinking about the possibilities making my own knob, sorry about that.

Pretty steep price point, definitely.

Kijiji prices are what the seller thinks the item is worth. I have seen five ads for a 425 stove on one page, ranging from $25 (bought it) to $175. The expensive one was a rusty critter.

If the customer wants to pay that much, so be it.
There are two types of people in this world...avoid them.
