I hope you weren't camping there. Us backpackers have to camp 50' from water or by a lake, the high water mark.

If you need a Sun Flame Generator Model 100-107 ( for Sunflame lanterns models 105, 106, 107 and 110) give me a PM, I have close to 80 of those, 15 bucks each.

Wish I could be there with you Daryl - thanks for taking the square Griswold along with you and the kind gesture. If that is where I think it is, it's kind of remote, and not to many people around. Makes for nice and quiet times. Enjoy your trip, happy fishing and please post more pics when you can.

I did break the law by parking where I did and knew better when I turned off the key. Rules are there for a reason. The two spots at the end away from creek were occupied and when they left late afternoon that is where I spent the nights. No excuse for what it did. I should have taken a spot in the boulder field for the day. Rather remote spot on 3mi side road that sees very little Maintenace. Most of it is one way and the last mile down to the creek is for sure. When you are the one that needs to back down any distance you don't go back for a couple years. Creek is very low and no fish pictures to show a few bites but very poor fishing. Creek is wild trout stream C&R and years ago 10-20 fish day was the norm. I took a CL1 & 220D with me. I saw signs of where it got its name. Daryl SoCal

Yes, retired and can't boulder hop the mile or so upstream where the fish are or used to be.
Rather retarded too for parking where I did.
I do believe you a lot closer to some of the best of what the western Sierra's has to offer than whats down south.

I don't bp much the last few years farther south in the Sierra, Fish & Game have gill netted most lakes to remove non-native fish(all fish) to save the Yellow Legged frog I believe it is and to prevent fisherpersons from spreading a fungus that kills frogs. I did catch a trout in the Ansel Adams Wilderness a few years ago, my last five night backpack trip.
Thank you for sharing, looks like you took care where you parked, I've seen people abuse the environment.
A good resource for the Sierra is my friend Eric's site, Highsierratopix.
