Handy little lighter!

#1

Post by 25_502s »

It seems like the tip of most lighters are to large to fit many lanterns but I found this one at Walmart. I tried most styles of lanterns I could think of and it worked on basically all of them with the exception of the 200B’s and a couple odd profanes like the 5107. Anyway thought I would share.
Oh, and it’s refillable too.

Nice review, Jason, I've seen those in my local Wally World, too. I might just go get one, now, because you recommended it.

Those are nice! I have three but their blue. They have a nice flame adjustment too, you can go from a small to a pretty large flame. I found mine at Dollar General.

I should get one of those. By now it's become a habit to get out the stick matches when I light one of my 200A's.

Tip looks the same size as a Scripto.

Sounds like a good alternative to matches, but I just left WM. I have to wait and pick one up next trip.
Thanks,
Dan

You got me at "refillable".
Nice size, too. Just right to fit in my little lantern kit too.

Thanks for the pics and the quick look at it. I think I have to need it.

I've been looking for something like that. Now you can pretty much guarantee that they will stop making them and the shelves will be empty just before I go to buy one.

Will that fit in a 200a? I put sparkys on all my 200 style frames cause I hate the debris from the long matches lol

Yes it will. I have the same lighter. If you like preheating a 200a a bit before lighting, the flame will reach the gen no problem.

The fit is a little snug, but the flame definitely reaches the mantle and gen.

That is also a good size for a fanny pack or pocket. in very cold weather those butane lighters shut down, so keeping one near your body heat keeps them usable
