Spotted this little cutie at the Ogdensburg International Airport today. Don’t believe I’ve ever seen one. Looks like a camper someone decided to add wings , some engines and a fancy tail to. Anybody identify this for me? I know there are a lot of flyboys on the forum! Right after I got home the little bugger flew right over my place.

Looks like a Shorts Skyvan. Fly to your vacation and take your car with you.

Look up the "N" number on the tail, there is a web site for that, it will tell you all about that plane.

Under "Our Fleet"...
They got a *BUNCH* of them... These seem to be made in Northern Ireland.

Years ago, I worked air freight, I loaded a plane like that every night.
I forget the name of it, but the back opens up like a c130, they have a surprising amount of lift capacity for a small plane.
I remember one of the pilots saying that was because it’s like a “box kite” almost every surface was designed for lift

I think it was called a SHERPA

I thought they should be brown, like a package car

That plane reminds me of an Osprey. Was lucky enough to see one in action last year, they had to land for fuel and were generous enough to give us a quick tour before they took off!
