I’ve never heard of nickel plated tubes on a Lantern. Is there a particular lamp that would’ve use these, or did somebody just nickel plate them for fun?
Thanks

Quick-Lites, both lamps and lanterns, would have had nickel tubes like this. Possibly also 220/228Bs, but those tended to have a restriction built into the tops. You don't really notice the nickel on them because they've all been discolored from decades of heat.

Those are shinier than any NOS ones I have found though a did buy a few of those from OCP a couple years back.
They seem to discolor differently than other NOS ones, they kind of "rainbow" discolor
Thank you!

I have a couple of those but can't remember the length. They came as extra parts with my 427.

Just looking at the picture I notice a couple were threaded and then plated, while others were plated and then threaded.

Don't know what that means.

The shiny ones are 2 7/8 inches long and the dull ones are about a 16th of an inch longer than that

Some of them are really shiny and have plated threads and the other ones are slightly longer, have a dull finish and unplated threads.

I have the exact same jar with the exact same tubes. I have had them for 25 years and haven't used one yet.

That’s probably what I will do with these.

When I clean up a nice CQ I always throw on NP burner tubes
Heck most of the originals are still nickel under all that carbon
